Théâtre des Champs-Elysées
Molière’s Imaginary Invalid. Performed only in French without English surtitles.
This last comedy written by Molière offers a unique opportunity to enter the French spirit through its humor and vivacity. The imaginary invalid is a hypochondriac, victim of his own terrors, and trembling at the prospect of death. Molière also introduces a skeptical freethinker about medicine, into whose mouth he places long tirades against the inefficacy of all drugs and their dispensers to cope with human ailments.
